The New Jersey think tank and action group for a New Haiti (GRAHN-New Jersey ) is a chapter of the worldwide Haitian (Group de Reflexion et d'Action pour une Haiti Nouvelle)GRAHN-Monde. Headquartered in Canada, the organization is currently under the leadership of the eminent Haitian scholar and professor, Dr. Samuel Pierre, who is a member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and Knight of the National order of Quebec. The New Jersey chapter goal for the next 20 years is to help Haiti meet the international standard of education.

The GRAHN-New Jersey Will be holding its First Black tie Annual Gala that will serve not only as the official launch of the new chapter but also as a means to raise funds to finance our future projects. This event will be held on Sunday, December 2nd, 2012, from 6:00 PM to 11:00PM at the most reputable catering venue in New Jersey, The Grove, which is located at 691 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ, 07009. The theme for this double event is entitled "Empower Haiti's Youths through Education- A Night of Hope."

The proceeds of the Gala will go toward the funding of two computer labs in two selected schools in Haiti that will serve as pilots projects; one in Port- Au- Prince and one in the countryside.

The gala will also serve as an opportunity to raise money toward the opening of two pilot computer labs in two schools, one in Port-au- Prince and the other in the countryside in 2013
We anticipate that our First Annual Black tie Gala will be attended by some of the most prestigious names in New Jersey, the neighboring area and around the world. Please consider this as an opportunity to show your support in our effort to help rebuilding and reforming the educational system in the poorest country in the western, our dear Haiti.
